My detox plans, thoughts for the week.

Last week's Castor Oil Thursday has come and gone. This first installment was to be the smallest recommended dose of 1/4 tsp taken orally. Early on, I felt my stomach react with a slight churn but then by the flush at 10:30, everything was normal. I've had no ill feelings or effects from this first go round, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next. The plan this time is to take a slightly larger dose again on Thursday and see how my body reacts. It is quite interesting to feel and hear my own digestive system attempt to dilute the oil with the bile that is stored in both the liver and gall bladder. The release of bile is what allows toxins that have been stored to be flushed out of the body. This is why castor is so important. It jump starts the process of detoxification so that the liver can begin to be more effective.

I have had many smallish flareups in the area of my liver this week. Could this be inflammation around my tumors which would indicate that the body set to fight? Could this be that my tumor burden is increasing? Could this be simply nothing more than standard operating procedure, that I am just now tuned in to my body and notice every single tick, gurgle and bump? Only time will tell.

For the most part, I feel pretty darn good. I think one of the main hidden components of Gerson might just be that since you remain so busy, you don't have time to think negatively. It kind of forces you into a certain positive mind-body connection. One that will for sure get me through the next two years.

Wish me luck for the upcoming Castor Oil Thursday! I'll report as soon as I know more.

Hey Mike!

I tell people all the time to listen to their bodies! Me...well, we're not really on speaking terms most of the time! :o) But I'm glad to know that you are feeling positive about where you are and where you're going!

You are AMAZING...and in case you've forgotten...you are a SURVIVOR!!!

I had to take something like 4 tablespoons of castor oil when I was in LABOR! I had my son at a birthing center instead of a hospital, and they recommended the use of it to increase contractions.

Ohhhh, i feel for you. Been there.

Im glad to be reading about your progress and rooting for you all the way!
